Services

Drywall

Our drywall services are geared towards remodels and repairs of occupied space. We prep and control dust meticulously. We succeed where commercial and new construction drywall crews fail: cleanliness. We can also match most textures.

Exterior Decks

We offer engineering, structural modifications, deck replacement with trex boards or natural wood, railing rebuilds, engineering and structural rework for hot tubs.

Project Consulting

If you’re wanting to manage or even execute your own remodel but need some guidance through the process, our project consulting service is for you. We can help you develop plans, budgets and drawings and then be on call to help troubleshoot the problems that will inevitably arise throughout the course of the project.

Remodels

We offer the full suite of planning, budgeting, design and build services to clients in the Summit County area. You can find more information on our process below.

Special Projects

Do you need help with something specialized that isn’t listed above and that other contractors are hesitant to take on? It could involve difficult to access parts of your property, a tight timeline or unique building techniques. If you’re looking for a team to execute any unconventional project that requires a thorough knowledge of all parts of the building process or technical intelligence in general, we’d love to discuss your needs and see if we can help.

Our Process

1. Preliminary Estimate

Fill out our contact form and/or email all the available photos and details about your project to nick@elevationhomimprovement.com. We’ll respond with the most accurate bracketed estimate we can based on the details you provide.

2. On Site Consultation

If our bracketed estimate meets your expectations, it makes sense for us to take the next step and schedule an on site consultation during which we will evaluate your project, start to develop optimal solutions to design challenges, collect measurements and discuss your goals for the project. We will provide pricing for the consultation as part of our preliminary estimate, but it generally costs a few hundred dollars for a small, simple project. Complex remodels can require significantly more time to evaluate, plan and scope resulting in a higher consultation fee.

3. Budgeting/Project Modeling

Using the information collected during the consultation, we will create a project model (click here to view a sample project model) and, when appropriate, some basic drawings (drawings at this stage are less to help visualize and more to help understand the cost of the project).

4. Contract

Once we have a scope and budget set, it’s time to make a deal! While we don’t make our boilerplate contract available publicly on the internet, we’re happy to provide it during the consultation. We generally offer a fixed price contract for drywall and exterior deck projects and perform remodels and special projects on a cost plus or time and materials basis.

5. Design and Engineering

This part of the process can involve multiple iterations and will be estimated in the project model. This is when we work together to make material selections, iterate on the design to control cost and gain a better understanding of scope.

6. Permitting and Compliance

Navigating regulations, planning and permitting is generally one of the most opaque and frustrating parts of any project. We help our clients understand the regulatory landscape and navigate the compliance process as effectively and efficiently as possible.

7. Scheduling and Execution

Now that we have a design and any required permits in hand, we can get started! The first step in most projects will be demolition. This is the phase of a project that is most likely to reveal any unanticipated complications or necessary scope expansions. It always feels good to finish demolition without discovering any complications. You can read more about the execution of a remodeling project in our blog post.
